FRESHLY ROASTED
Turning raw coffee into a delicious, aromatic instant coffee requires careful but fast processing to ensure freshness. First, the raw coffee is cleaned, roasted to flavour (from mild to espresso), then ground and brewed (extracted).There are various ways in which the liquid coffee concentrate can be dried. It can be SPRAY-DRIED, where the concentrate is sprayed in a warm jet of air to make a fine coffee powder. AGGLOMERATION compounds these fine coffee particles to form granules. Alternatively, the freshly filtered concentrate can be FREEZE-DRIED through shock freezing. The frozen concentrate is then crushed into granules that are gently dried in a vacuum chamber.
